Hervey Range RADAR is detecting a band of SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS moving toward the coast including TOWNSVILLE.
For those living in Ingham.. be aware.

According to the Bureau Of Meteorology, There is currently a Severe Thunderstorm warning For people in Herbert and Lower Burdekin, Central Coast and Whitsundays and parts of Northern Goldfields and Upper Flinders, Central Highlands and Coalfields and Capricornia Forecast Districts.

Severe thunderstorms are likely to produce damaging winds, large hailstones and heavy rainfall that may lead to flash flooding in the warning area over the next several hours. Locations which may be affected include Proserpine, Charters Towers, Bowen, Townsville, Palm Island, Collinsville, Ingham, Pentland, Ayr, Mingela, Giru and Alva Beach.
