Authentic Taekwon-Do Townsville is at it again.  This time taking a team of 31 local Townsville competitors of all ages and ranks to Sarina, Qld.  Competing in the “Alligator Creek Clubs 10th Anniversary ITF Taekwon-Do Tournament”.   Bringing home a load of medals!!!

With outstanding results, Authentic Taekwon-do Townsville members are showing the rest of the state how strong, disciplined and well trained they are.  Local Branch Instructors; Sabums Nigel Paul, Andy Smith and Bill Coyer couldn’t be prouder of their students and black belts alike.  And were overwhelmed with the support by family and friends who were in attendance.  Even camping out 2 nights at the local Sarina Footy Club grounds together either side of the competition.

Included in the 31 members are our next competitors to the international competition scene – Krysti Rosmalen-Brinkley and Maria Patane.  Following in the footsteps of their Instructors who came back with great result from the World Championships in England in 2013.

With over 100 hundred competitors from around the state and even interstate the Authentic Taekwon-Do Townsville Team results were:-

• Gold - Black Belt Adult Men’s Sparring.

• Silver – Open Adult Men’s Special Technique.

Sabum Andy Smith:

• Gold – Black Belt Women’s sparring.
• Gold – Open Women’s Special Technique.
• Gold – 4^th Degree and above Patterns.
• Silver – Open Women’s Power Breaking.
• Awarded – Overall Female Champion.

Sabum Ben Hetherington:

• Gold – Open Men’s Power Breaking

Danny Cahill

• Silver – Open Men’s Power Breaking

Now all are looking forward to Authentic Taekwon-Do Townsville putting on their ITF Taekwon-Do Tournament later in the year.  Bringing competitors from all over Australia to Townsville to try and take back some of the titles!
